The internet felt different this year. AI started booking travel, writing code, closing support tickets, going on dates. Some of that is wonderful. But all of it makes one question urgent: how can we trust interactions online?
World was built to answer this question. Three years ago today, we set out to create a real human network, anchored by World ID, a simple, private way for anyone to prove they're a real person online without sharing anything else about themselves.
Today, that network spans World App user counter users globally, and proof of human is working quietly inside the interactions that matter: meetings on Zoom where everyone is verified, matches on Tinder that are guaranteed to be between real people, concert tickets that go to fans instead of bots.
And the network is more than technology. It's the operators and builders who brought it to their cities, and a community that showed up throughout the year at a Human Run through London, Catch Table dinners in Korea, a No Bot Shop in LA, a Vandy the Pink drop at the SF flagship.
Today, World turns three and enters Phase 3 of its foundational Simple Plan.
Phase 3 of the Simple Plan takes proof of human everywhere it's needed: to consumer platforms where real connection matters, to enterprises that need to know their customers are human, and to AI agents that should carry proof of the human behind them.
