World Opens U.S. Flagship in West Hollywood

World’s U.S. flagship in West Hollywood is now open.

Situated at 8585 Melrose Avenue, the new flagship marks the continued expansion of World's U.S. presence and brings its verification technology to one of Los Angeles' most vibrant design and retail districts. The opening follows the successful debut of World's San Francisco location.

Expanding the Human Network

Following its first American flagship in San Francisco's Union Square, the West Hollywood location continues World's strategic U.S. expansion, which includes Atlanta, Austin, Miami, and Nashville. This nationwide rollout reflects the growing demand for privacy-preserving technology that can reliably distinguish humans from AI in our increasingly digital world.

The West Hollywood store mirrors the minimalist aesthetic of its San Francisco counterpart, featuring blonde wood accents and open space centered around World's signature Orb technology. The design layout encourages discovery and interaction with the proof of person verification technology in an approachable setting.

The Orb Experience

Inside the store, visitors can interact with World's NVIDIA-powered Orb device, which verifies unique humanness. The elegant spherical device serves as both a sophisticated technology and design centerpiece within the space.

The Orb creates an anonymous digital passport that confirms humanity without compromising privacy. This verification system allows people to prove they're human online while maintaining complete anonymity. All verification data remains exclusively on the individual's device—not  on World's servers or shared with third-parties.

A Growing Network

World ID is already demonstrating practical applications through partnerships with major platforms, as well as a collaboration with Match Group to bring human verification to Tinder in select markets. Additional partnerships with Razer for gaming verification, Visa for financial services, and various event ticketing platforms highlight the growing need for reliable human verification across digital spaces and services.

These integrations address fundamental challenges in our digital ecosystem, from ensuring concert ticket purchases aren't dominated by bots to creating more authentic experiences on dating platforms and social media.

With more than 26 million users across 160+ countries, World plans to deploy over 7,000 Orbs nationwide, expanding beyond flagship locations to coffee shops, malls, and convenience stores to make verification accessible to everyone.
