Chainlink CCIP, a standard for cross-chain interoperability, is now available to developers and people using World Chain, the blockchain designed for humans.
Chainlink is a leader in onchain finance, verifiable data, and cross-chain interoperability. Chainlink is unifying liquidity across global markets and has enabled over $18 trillion in transaction value across the blockchain economy.
This integration will enable the development of even more secure cross-chain applications on World Chain. Developers in the World Chain ecosystem can now leverage CCIP to build applications that can transfer tokens, send messages, and initiate transactions between World Chain and 20+ blockchains.
Chainlink CCIP provides a multitude of important features:
- Defense-in-depth security—CCIP is powered by Chainlink infrastructure that has enabled $18+ trillion in onchain transaction value.
- Secure Token Transfers—Cross-Chain Tokens (CCTs) enable developers to integrate new and existing tokens with CCIP in a self-serve manner in minutes.
- Arbitrary Messaging—CCIP empowers developers to create cross-chain native apps via the transfer of arbitrary data between chains.
- Programmable Token Transfers—CCIP enables the transfer of value along with instructions on what to do with those tokens once they arrive on the destination chain.
More on World Chain
The announcement of the Chainlink CCIP integration comes on the heels of World Chain’s mainnet launch last fall. With 10M+ verified humans and 22M+ people using World App, World Chain has the largest number of individually verified humans globally.
As of January 2025, World Chain was maintaining the highest UOPS/TPS ratio of any Ethereum blockchain. This provides a strong signal that World Chain is mostly comprised of real humans using apps and not bots doing automations.
World Chain was designed to prioritize anonymously verified human interactions over bots and AI through direct protocol integrations with World ID for proof of human verification. It works alongside Optimism and the wider Ethereum ecosystem as part of the Superchain.
