World ID Video Check is the Plugin that relying platforms can integrate, enabling them to require a Proof of Human verification in order for a user to complete an action. Think of it like a lock and key. World ID Video Check is the lock, Proof of Human is the key.
Only the human who was issued the Proof can reuse it later. When verifying with their Proof, the user is asked to take a quick selfie. This selfie is compared against the image of their face taken by the Orb (the ground truth) and stored on the user’s device (in their Personal Custody Package).
World ID does not share biometric data with your platform. The user’s face and iris images taken at the Orb stay on their device (encrypted in a “Personal Custody Package”) and they can choose to delete their data at any point. The World ID app and your platform only receive anonymous, decentralized cryptographic Proofs and signals. No personal information shared or stored.
