World One Residency Program

Effective September 15, 2026

These Application Terms govern your application to the World One Residency Program (the “Program”), sponsored by the World Foundation (“WF”) and run by Tools for Humanity Corporation, a Delaware corporation at 650 7th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103 (“TFH”). They cover your application only. If you are selected, you will need to accept the separate World One Residency Program Terms and Conditions (the “Program Terms”) and an Office Space License Agreement (the “License Agreement”). Those documents, not these, will govern your participation, the grant, and any use of TFH’s offices. Section 5 sets out what you will need to do and summarizes what those documents cover.

THESE TERMS ARE A BINDING CONTRACT. BY CHECKING THE BOX MARKED “I AGREE TO THE APPLICATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS” AND CLICKING “SEND,” YOU AGREE TO THEM. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT CHECK THE BOX AND DO NOT PARTICIPATE.

1. Eligibility

You confirm that: you are an individual at least 18 years old; you are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship by TFH; you are not a TFH employee, officer, director, contractor or other service provider; no agreement or obligation to any third party, including a current or former employer or school, restricts your application or your participation if selected; and you are not located in or a resident of a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction - including Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, and the Crimea, Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine - and are not on any U.S. restricted-party list, including the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list.

2. Your application is accurate

Everything you tell TFH in your application is true, accurate, and complete. TFH may verify any of it and may reject or withdraw an application containing a material misstatement or omission.

3. Do not send TFH anything secret

TFH does not treat your application materials as confidential and owes you no obligation of confidence in relation to them. Do not include in your application anything you wish to keep secret or to protect as a trade secret, and do not include any third party’s confidential information, including a current or former employer’s. TFH may retain and internally review your application whether or not you are selected.

4. TFH works on similar things

TFH and its affiliates build products and services across the areas this Program covers, work with many developers, and receive many applications and ideas. Nothing in your application restricts TFH from independently developing, acquiring, or launching any product, service, or feature, whether or not it resembles anything in your application, and TFH owes you nothing if it does. You will not bring any claim against TFH on the basis that something TFH develops resembles your application.

5. Selection, and what you will need to do if you are selected

Selection is at TFH’s sole discretion. TFH need not select anyone, fill any number of places, or give reasons for any decision. Applying gives you no right to selection, to any payment, to access TFH’s offices, or to any other benefit, and creates no employment, contractor, agency, partnership, or other relationship with TFH.

If TFH offers you a place, your participation is conditional on your completing all of the following before it begins: (a) accepting and signing the Program Terms; and (b) completing TFH’s identity verification, know-your-customer, sanctions screening, and payment onboarding, including an IRS Form W-9. If you do not complete these within ten (10) days of TFH’s offer, or if you tell TFH you will not accept them, TFH may withdraw the offer and select someone else.

6. Your personal information

TFH processes the personal information in your application in accordance with applicable law and its privacy notice.

7. Electronic records

You consent to transacting electronically with TFH and to receiving these Application Terms and related notices electronically. You confirm that you can access, view, download, print, and keep a copy of these Application Terms, and that you have had the chance to do so before accepting. You accept from your own application account, and you confirm that you are the person named in the application.

8. General

California law governs these Application Terms, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts in the City and County of San Francisco, California have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are selected and accept the Program Terms, those terms govern your participation and prevail over these Application Terms to the extent of any conflict; Sections 3, 4, and 6 continue to apply to your application materials and to anything you told TFH before that. If any provision is unenforceable it will be narrowed to the minimum extent needed, or severed, and the rest stands. TFH may change these Application Terms at any time by posting updated terms, and the version you accepted governs your application. TFH will record the version presented, the identifier of the accepting account, and the date and time of your acceptance.
