You receive the Human Badge when you claim your Proof of Human. It shows you are a verified human on platforms where trust matters most, like Zoom and Tinder. You receive the Presence Badge when you claim your Proof of Presence. It shows that you are present for day-to-day, low stakes actions like claiming concert tickets on a ticketing platform. The Human Badge is the highest level of assurance.
To receive your Human Badge, you need to claim your Proof of Human by first verifying you are a unique human at an Orb near you. This process only happens once, after which you can reuse it from your mobile device.
No. The platform determines what level of Proof they will accept based on the sensitivity of the action.
Yes. Proof of Human requires Orb verification. It is the highest level of assurance, only made possible by encrypted and anonymous hardware verification at the Orb. The other Proofs do not require Orb verification and can be claimed via mobile device for day-to-day, low stakes transactions.
The Orb is a device that verifies you are a unique human. The Orb cryptographically processes images of your face and eyes, without knowing anything else about you. This is made possible through anonymous, decentralized cryptography.
“Unique” means that someone is one of one. This ground truth is important because it allows platforms to delegate X amount of actions to one person. Knowing that one person is unique creates the foundation for many systems to operate (e.g., one human, one account). “Human” means someone is alive and present, and not anything else (like a deepfake or a bot). Only the Orb can verify that someone is a unique human at scale while preserving user privacy.
