Real Human Run Tokyo

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern participation in the Real Human Run Tokyo series organized by Tools for Humanity Corporation (the “Organizer”), co-hosted by Tinder (the “Co-host”), and operated on-site by CLUB CLUB Inc. (the “Operator”). The Organizer, Co-host and Operator are collectively referred to as the “Event Parties.” Each participant agrees to these Terms by registering for or checking in to any session of the Event.

1. Purpose and Roles

The Event is a social run designed to help participants connect through a shared interest and to learn about and experience Human Badge. It is not a race and does not involve rankings or official timing.

The Co-host jointly promotes and delivers the Event, and the Operator is responsible for check-in, run management, safety response and on-site operations. Participation does not guarantee a match, date, friendship, relationship or any other outcome. Participants are responsible for deciding whether and how to interact, exchange contact details or communicate after the Event.

2. Eligibility, Registration and Check-In

• Participants must be at least 18 years old on the Event date and provide accurate registration information. Each person may participate only once across the entire Event series.
• Registration is personal and non-transferable. To participate, each person must sign up on the Luma event page, and be accepted. A first-come process, lottery or waitlist may be used if capacity is exceeded.
• The Event Parties may request the minimum screen display or information needed to confirm age, registration and the ticket. Human Badge is not required to join the run.
• No alcohol will be served at the Event.
• Participants who require an accommodation should notify staff at check-in. The Event Parties will provide reasonable support to the extent feasible within the Event’s safety, venue and route constraints.

3. Human Badge, World ID and the Orb

Human Badge is an additional trust signal on Tinder showing that an account is associated with a person verified as a real human through World ID. It does not verify a participant’s legal identity, name, background, intentions, character, health or compatibility, and it does not guarantee safety. Participants should use their own judgment in all online and in-person interactions and may decline to share contact details.

• Obtaining and connecting Human Badge requires the World ID App, Orb verification and a connection to Tinder.
• On-site staff may provide guidance but cannot guarantee completion due to device, connectivity, account or other technical issues.
• Human Badge is optional. A participant will not be denied access to the run solely because they choose not to obtain or connect Human Badge.

4. Health and Personal Responsibility

• Participants must assess whether the Event is suitable for their health, fitness and experience. Participants are responsible for ensuring they are prepared to participate. 
• Do not participate if you are unwell or impaired. 
• The Event Parties or staff may require a participant to slow down, rest, leave the route or stop participating when reasonably necessary for safety.

5. Route, Traffic and Running Safety

The Event may take place on sidewalks, in parks, along rivers or in other public areas that are not fully closed to traffic. Participants must follow applicable laws, facility rules and staff instructions, and give priority to pedestrians, cyclists, vehicles and local residents.

6. Cancellation and Changes

The Organizer may change the route, distance, pace, start time or format, or postpone or cancel the Event, based on local conditions and operational considerations. . 

Cancellation, postponement or material changes if any will be announced through World Japan’s official X account and sent to the email address registered through Luma. As the Event is free, no participation fee refund applies, and travel, accommodation or other incidental expenses will not be reimbursed.

7. Code of Conduct and Harassment Response

Participants must review and follow Tinder’s Community Guidelines and Safety Tips and respect each person’s choices, boundaries and preferred way of participating. Human Badge status and Event participation do not create any entitlement to approach another participant, obtain contact details or pursue a date or relationship.

• Unwanted sexual comments, contact, invitations or requests for contact details; repeated contact after refusal; stalking; intimidation; threats; bullying; discrimination; hate speech; violence and unsafe conduct are prohibited.
• Non-consensual photography, recording or posting; sharing personal information; commercial solicitation; religious or political recruitment; and participation focused on pick-up or seduction techniques are prohibited.
• Intoxication, illegal drugs, weapons, dangerous items and failure to follow staff instructions are prohibited.
• Report concerning conduct during the Event promptly to the CLUB CLUB Inc. on-site lead, who may escalate the matter to the Organizer where appropriate. Call 110 or 119 in an emergency.
• The Event Parties may issue a warning, change a participant’s group, remove or ban a participant, or contact a relevant platform or public authority where reasonably necessary to protect safety during the Event. Retaliation against a reporting person is prohibited. The Event Parties will not investigate, relay messages, mediate, negotiate a settlement or facilitate compensation for private disputes between participants, including disputes arising after the Event concerning dating, communications, money, property or social-media posts. Tinder-related concerns should be reported through Tinder’s reporting tools, and criminal conduct, threats or emergencies should be reported to the police or other appropriate authority.

8. First Aid, Emergencies and Insurance

• If an accident, injury or illness occurs, CLUB CLUB Inc., as the on-site first-aid and safety lead, may coordinate first aid within on-site capabilities and call emergency services when necessary. Life-saving measures, including AED use or chest compressions, may be performed.
• Participants consent to the minimum necessary disclosure of information by the Event Parties to emergency contacts, first responders and medical providers for emergency purposes.
• Medical treatment, transportation and related costs are the participant’s responsibility except where the Event Parties are legally required to bear them.
• The Event is not covered by event insurance. Participants are encouraged to maintain appropriate personal accident, liability and medical insurance.

9. Photography, Recording and Testimonials

Participation in identifiable photography, video or audio recording organised by the Event Parties  for public relations, advertising or social media (the “Official Recording”) is voluntary. Participants who wish to take part must review and sign a separate paper consent form on-site describing the content, purposes, channels and period of use, and must wear a blue identification badge on the chest. Declining consent will not affect participation in the run or result in any other disadvantage.

• Only participants wearing the blue identification badge will be filmed as part of the Official Recording. . The Event Parties will take reasonable steps to avoid capturing non-consenting participants in an identifiable manner.
• If a filming incentive is offered, its type, eligibility conditions and delivery timing will be stated in the separate consent form or session notice.
• Interviews, testimonials, participant-focused filming and advertising use will be limited to the scope stated in the separate consent form. A contact for consent withdrawal or deletion requests will be stated before publication.

Participants may take their own photos, video or audio at the Event and share them, including on personal social media ("Participant Content"). Participant Content is not organized, reviewed or authorized by the Event Parties, and the Event Parties are not responsible for how a participant captures, uses or shares it. Participants must obtain another participant's permission before photographing, recording or posting them, and must honor a request not to be photographed, recorded or posted.

10. Personal Information

The Event Parties will not separately collect or retain copies of identity documents for the Event. The entity responsible for each category of personal information and the applicable privacy notice will be identified before publication. Registration information obtained through Luma will be used only to confirm the named ticket and eligibility and to communicate Event operations, cancellation, postponement or other material updates, and will be deleted within three months after the final Event session. The Operator may process this information only to the extent necessary for on-site operations. Filming consent forms and recorded content will be managed in accordance with the purposes and retention periods stated in the separate filming consent form. If an accident, illness or safety incident occurs, the minimum information necessary for first aid, emergency response and legal compliance may be processed.

11. Fees, Benefits, Food and Beverages

• There is no participation fee. and no compensation will be offered  if the Event is cancelled or postponed. Participants remain responsible for travel, accommodation and other incidental expenses they may incur.
•  Participants will receive an exclusive Real Human Run running bib. Participants who display Human Badge on Tinder by the stated on-site deadline will receive an exclusive Real Human Run T-shirt while supplies last; preferred sizes may not be available. Filming incentives, drinks, snacks and other items are subject to availability, eligibility and the session notice, have no cash value and may not be exchanged.
• The Event Parties cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

12. Personal Property and Third-Party Services

Participants are responsible for their belongings. The Event Parties are not responsible for loss, theft or damage unless attributable to an Event Party. Cafés, lockers, transportation and other third-party services are governed by the relevant provider’s terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

Participants acknowledge that running and activities in public spaces involve risks, and agree to take reasonable care of their own health and safety. The Event Parties are not responsible for loss caused by participants or other third parties.  Any liability for loss attributable to an Event Party will be determined under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

A participant who intentionally or negligently damages another participant, a third party, the venue, facilities or an Event Party may be responsible for that damage under applicable law.

14. Amendments, Governing Law, Language and Contact

• The Organizer may amend these Terms when reasonably necessary for safety, operations or legal compliance. Material changes will be communicated through the registration page or registered contact details.
• These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court will have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over disputes relating to the Event or these Terms.
• If the Japanese and English versions conflict, the Japanese version will prevail.
• No general pre-Event inquiry channel will be provided. Notices concerning the Event, including cancellation, postponement and other material changes, will be communicated through World Japan’s official X account and the email address provided at registration. The operational emergency contact and the contact for filming consent and privacy matters will be identified before publication.
