Circle’s USDC and CCTP V2 Power Fast, Global Transfers on World

Jun 11, 2025 3 Minute Read

Circle’s USDC and CCTP V2 (Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol) are are now live on World Chain.

This isn’t your typical stablecoin integration because World Chain isn’t your typical blockchain. The integration combines the biggest use case in crypto – stablecoins – together with the most distributed network of humans: World.

If you’re saying to yourself, “I thought USDC was already on World,” you’ve actually hit upon the “so what” of all this. Almost two million humans on World already held bridged USDC in their World App wallets. It’s now upgraded to native USDC issued directly by Circle. World is uniquely globally distributed with over 27 million users in over 160 countries.

From Buenos Aires to Busan, World Network participants have been accessing bridged USDC in Mini Apps and sending remittances without predatory transfer fees.

With one seamless process, Circle has converted all existing bridged USDC held on World Chain to native USDC, which means it is now 100% backed by highly liquid cash and cash-equivalent assets. This automatic upgrade makes it the regulated digital dollar that’s trusted globally by users and developers today.

And with CCTP V2, transferring USDC across supported chains faster and more cost effective. This means developers, businesses and consumers alike can quickly and easily move funds and fully benefit from DeFi composability. The combo accelerates World Network while opening up access to USDC to more humans in economies that can benefit from a fully-reserved digital dollar.

Starting today:

  • The 27M+ users on World Chain can use a regulated digital dollar for fast and frictionless transfers to and from the blockchain.
  • Institutional on/off-ramps with Circle Mint[1] for eligible businesses
  • Developers can build USDC straight into World App Mini Apps and tap into a globally distributed blockchain.

Now that native USDC and CCTP V2 are live on World Chain, app developers have even greater access to the world’s largest identity and financial network. That’s good news for the network’s 27 million (and growing) users who are ready for supercharged utility from the world's largest regulated stablecoin. Additionally, there are intentions to support EURC on World in the future.

Expect more from decentralized finance and come build it with us.
