Build once, deploy anywhere: MiniKit 2.0 is live for World developers

MiniKit 2.0 is now live on World Chain for World builders.

It brings app development on World Chain in line with Ethereum’s EIP-1193 standard, making it possible to build once and deploy across both the web and World App. In addition, Flashblocks is now integrated with World Chain for faster confirmations and gas sponsorship is available via Privy and ZeroDev. The updates come when it has never been a better time to build, as World Build 3 applications are open to developers globally.

MiniKit 2.0: One app, multiple environments

Apps built for the web and apps deployed inside World App now share a common interface, meaning developers can build a single app and deploy it in both environments with minimal changes.

In many cases, adapting an existing app to run as a Mini App inside World App can now take as little as two lines of code.

Apps deployed inside World App behave identically to their standalone versions. This makes it straightforward to distribute an app through World App and scale it into a full World Chain application without changing core logic.

In practice, this significantly reduces the overhead between building, testing and distribution.

Expanded local stablecoin support in Mini Apps

Mini Apps now support a broader set of local stablecoins, including wARS, wCOP, wMXN, wBRL, wPEN, wCLP and EURC.

This allows developers to build payment flows that feel local from day one, without needing to manage currency abstraction or region-specific infrastructure.

Faster confirmations with Flashblocks

A custom implementation of Flashblocks is now live on World Chain, reducing transaction confirmation times from 2 seconds down to 200 milliseconds.

This enables apps that depend on fast feedback loops – such as games, trading interfaces and real-time interactions – to run without noticeable latency.

Built in, gas sponsorship

Apps built on World Chain can now sponsor gas fees using Privy, powered by ZeroDev’s account abstraction infrastructure.

This removes gas from the user experience entirely – no balances, no bridging and no manual fee handling. Apps like Charms are already piloting this feature.

The result is simpler onboarding and fewer steps between first interaction and active use.

World Build 3: funding and support for builders

World Build returns for its third cohort, continuing to support teams building on World Chain and proof of human.

Over the last year, participants of World Build have raised over $15M from leading VCs while building and shipping apps used by millions of verified humans.

World Build 3 begins with a four-day hackathon, awarding $20,000 in prizes. Top teams will be invited to a Build Week in Seoul with the World developer team, followed by a three-month virtual program and a Demo Day in San Francisco.
