Tokenomics Milestone: WLD unlock rate to decrease by 43% in July

On July 24, 2026, the WLD token unlock rate will decrease by 43% under the existing unlock schedules. As before, WLD tokens will continue unlocking daily in a linear fashion, with no unlock cliff.

As of April 10, 2026, 4.9 billion WLD tokens (i.e., 49% of the total supply of 10 billion WLD tokens) are unlocked, 3.3 billion of which are in circulation.

The total WLD supply was initially allocated to four stakeholder groups: with 75% allocated to the World Community, and 25% allocated across the Team, TFH Investors, and a small TFH Reserve (as outlined in the whitepaper). At launch on July 24, 2023, 500 million WLD from the World Community allocation were unlocked. The remaining 9.5 billion tokens were made subject to continuous daily unlock schedules, with the final tranche unlocking 15 years from the launch date. In July 2024, a majority of the Team and Investor tokens were made subject to additional extended lock-ups, while remaining on a daily unlock schedule. Importantly, there are no unlock cliffs. As a result of these lock-up schedules, on July 24, 2026, the unlock rate for all token allocations will automatically decrease:

• Community Tokens: The unlock rate for World Community Tokens will decrease by 50%, from 3.2M WLD per day to 1.6M WLD per day, in accordance with the immutable on-chain unlock contracts.
• TFH Investor and Team Tokens: The unlock rate for the TFH Investor and Team allocations will decrease by 32%, from 1.9M WLD per day to 1.3M WLD per day.

In aggregate, this will reduce the unlock rate across all token allocations by 43%, from about 5.1M WLD per day to about 2.9M WLD per day.
