World Opens Colombia Flagship – Its Largest to Date

Aug 21, 2025 2 Minute Read

World, the largest human-centered and financial network, unveils its largest-ever flagship: World Space in Colombia, right in the heart of Bogotá’s iconic San Patricio neighbourhood in Calle 109 with over 5000 ft2. This space not only marks World’s most ambitious physical presence to date—it represents a commitment to Latin America —and to the future of digital trust, universal proof of human and economic inclusion.

A Hub for Human-centric Innovation

Latin America is one of the most digitally dynamic regions in the world—and Colombia stands at its center—from Bogotá’s thriving developer ecosystem to Medellín’s evolution as a digital hub. The World Space in Colombia channels this momentum: a launchpad for developers, creators, and anyone curious about the future of human-centric innovation and digital trust. More than a physical location, it aims to be a space for community—hosting talks, workshops, and events.  Whether you’re a developer looking to build on World ID or someone simply curious about the future of the internet, this space is for you.

The Bogotá flagship also marks the beginning of the next evolution of World Spaces. This new phase ultimately aims to introduce an enhanced experiential design—with plans for interactive exhibits, educational installations, and updated architectural principles that bring World’s mission to life in a more tangible, immersive way.

A Response to Growing Digital Trust Crisis

The opening of the World Space in Colombia comes at a critical moment. As the country continues its rapid digital transformation, concerns over identity fraud, misinformation, and AI-generated deception are mounting:

According to online survey with people in Colombia administered by Cifras y Conceptos for World contributor Tools for Humanity (TFH):

  • 71% of Colombians are concerned that more convincing online bots will fuel a surge in fraud and misinformation.
  • 62% have either been victims of digital fraud or identity theft—or know someone who has.

These statistics paint a clear picture: Colombians are increasingly concerned about impersonation and fraud in the digital world. World ID offers a powerful solution. By enabling people to verify they are human—without giving up their privacy or personal data— World can help restore trust across digital platforms, from online reviews to social networks, dating apps, and beyond.

Private and Secure Proof of Human Verification

In a region where concerns around data misuse and fraud are high, World’s approach to privacy stands out. All biometric data remains exclusively on the individual’s device—never stored by World or shared with third parties. This aligns with Colombians' demand for tech solutions that prioritize autonomy, privacy, and security.

Visitors to the Bogotá flagship will also have the opportunity to voluntarily receive Worldcoin tokens (WLD) upon verification, immediately entering a growing ecosystem of tools and applications.
