One person.
One vote.
Finally.

An experiment in verified voting for World ID users — secure, immutable, and sybil-resistant.

World Vote Mini App Pilot

An experiment in digital governance.

World Vote Mini App brought to you by the World Foundation, offers mobile-first transparent and secure voting.

Leveraging first-class digital voting technology powered by Agora using World ID to ensure every vote on World proposals is cast by a verified human, providing sybil-resistant participation.

The World Vote Mini App is a pilot and the first batch of proposals are designed as experiments, exploring new ways to engage the community, collect feedback, and demonstrate World ID’s potential for digital governance.

Voting in this app is strictly experimental and not an initiation of any formal onchain governance for the World Network.

How it works

Step 1

Verify your identity with World ID to vote on World community proposals (for Humans Only).

Step 2

Explore current proposals by World Foundation and exercise your vote.

Step 3

Vote so that your one-person, one-vote is recorded immutably onchain.

Project details

The World Foundation will launch a series of proposals as part of the pilot.

To test and explore potential of one-person, one-vote coordination.

Each proposal will focus on a unique topic and will be put to a community vote. This enables verified humans to signal their preferences to help us explore new models of community coordination.

Every verified user will receive exactly one vote, backed by proof-of-human with World ID.

Voting results may inform future direction, but they do not enact any formal changes.

The World Vote Mini App is developed by World Foundation in partnership with Agora, a leading platform for digital governance.

Together, we’re piloting new ways for the World community to engage through experimental, sybil-resistant voting powered by World ID’s privacy-preserving, one-person, one-vote verification.

FAQ

An anonymous proof-of-human that securely and privately proves you are a unique human. It supports multiple types of human-exclusive verifications via proof of human credentials, allowing users to prove they are human and unique. A custom device called the Orb is used to verify you are a unique human. Importantly, World ID is built in an open source and decentralized manner, allowing anyone to interact with and build alongside the protocol. Simply put, World ID grants individuals an anonymous way to prove they are human online in a world where intelligence is no longer a discriminator between people and AI.

You can learn more about how to get verified under the World ID FAQ section here.

Once you are Orb verified you can sign-in and get authenticated with your World ID which generates a unique World wallet address for you. This allows you to sign-in and authenticate into web, mobile and decentralized applications and attest that you are a unique human, not a bot or AI system. Only World ID users who are Orb verified will be able to vote on proposals on the World Vote Mini App.

All votes made will be immutable and publicly visible onchain on the Worldchain, each verified World ID voter will have their associated World wallet address public on the proposal’s contract address (you can check each proposal contract address on worldscan.org). For the World Vote Mini App pilot we are testing public vote for transparency onchain and may develop more private voting mechanisms in future iterations. For the pilot, only your voting ID is used to submit a vote, no personal data is stored or saved as part of the vote.

For the World Vote Mini App pilot, we have limited who can create a proposal to simplify the experiment. For V1 only World Foundation facilitators will be able to submit proposals. Such facilitators have the responsibility to ensure proposals are not malicious and work in the interest of the World Network and community.
