World is now live in Taiwan. Taiwanese people can join World’s human centered-financial and identity network by verifying their World ID at the World Space in Taipei.
Taiwan prides itself on its innovative approaches to solving pressing issues. It’s a country of early adopters, as evidenced by a high internet penetration combined with widespread use of AI services for everything from shopping to social media.
Now, the country is adopting World’s private and anonymous digital proof of human as it seeks to strengthen its expanding digital economy in the age of AI.

World takes a responsible approach to AI
While AI innovations have improved the lives of Taiwanese people, citizens are clear about the risks. A recent World survey conducted by Ipsos found that 88% of respondents in Taiwan are worried about being unable to tell bots from humans online. Nearly all said they supported technology to prove humanness online.
World ID does just that.
With World ID, the Taiwanese have a straightforward solution to prove they are humans and tell the difference between human and bot when interacting online.
World fits well with Taiwan’s proactive and pragmatic approach to integrating new technologies. In 2018, before most businesses had even thought about AI, the government released its AI Taiwan Action Plan. Now it has a vital tool to help carry out this strategy.
How the Taiwanese can participate in World
To start using World, the Taiwanese can download World App and verify their humanness at an Orb, a revolutionary privacy-preserving camera invented by Tools for Humanity. After verifying they are human, they can voluntarily claim their free share of WLD tokens*.
With World, all interactions and data remain anonymous. Moreover, World’s Personal Custody features mean all personal data is stored only on the person’s smartphone and inaccessible to World or third parties.
